An allegedly thieving real estate agent Jason Emil Yaselli and his alleged co-conspirator Benjamin Aiton Ackerman have been caught and arrested in Beverly Hills, according to CNN. The two have been accused of using Yaselli’s connection as a real estate agent to steal from the homes of celebrities around various Los Angeles neighborhoods.
The victims of Yaselli’s alleged crimes include celebrities like ex-NFL player Shaun Phillips, Usher, Adam Lambert and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills starring Kemsley family. The two are suspected to have used open houses as a means of theft, isolating items they wished to eventually steal or stealing them during the showings themselves. It is also alleged that Yaselli masterminded the thefts by convincing Ackerman to commit the actual act.
According to CNN, the plaintiffs “are accused of taking more than than $500,000 through fraud and embezzlement.” Both have pled not guilty.
