Michael Jackson’s infamous Neverland Ranch is on the market, and it’s had a significant price cut, according to Business Insider. The mansion has an asking price of $31 million, down from the $100 million it was selling for in 2015, the website reports.
The property that holds the 12,598 square foot house is a whopping 22,700 acres, and has undergone what Business Insider refers to as “millions of dollars in renovations.” The house features a full size movie theatre, a lake, a pool, staff housing, a dance studio, five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, Insider reports. Jackson bought the land in 32 years ago for $19.5 million, less than its current asking price but a far cry from its perhaps idealistic 2015 price tag.
The ranch is in Los Olivos, around 130 miles north of L.A. Jackson famously struggled to afford the ranch later in life, and its sinking price tag is no doubt due to the allegations of sexual abuse that have plagued the property for years. The house was on the market in 2017 for $69 million, and the recent price drop is most likely due to Leaving Neverland, a recent documentary that detailed allegations by alleged victims of the pop star that took place at the ranch.
